Transfer date checker
How it flows
Enter the effective date from your transfer notice. The checker shows when the old servicer's notice was generally due, when the new servicer's notice is due and the last day of the 60-day period in which an on-time payment to the old servicer cannot be treated as late. Fields start empty; nothing is stored.

How to read your result
The result shows the transfer date, where to send payments and whether the grace period for payments sent to the old servicer applies.
- Effective date: when the new servicer takes over.
- Grace period: protection for payments to the old servicer.
- Next: update autopay.
What to do next
Update autopay and confirm your escrow balance moved with the loan.
Exceptions
Some transfers have different notice timing, such as those after certain defaults or receiverships. Regulation X lists them.
Questions about loan sales
Does a servicing transfer change my interest rate?
No. The notice must state that the transfer does not change the loan's terms other than those tied to servicing.
